PERSPECTIVE x DD

I had the pleasure of participating in an Art Residency at Art Ichol as a part of “Disappearing Dialogues” program alongside many awe-inspiring individuals.

“Perspective”takes a brief look into the furniture works created and some of the inspiration behind it.

Disappearing Dialogues (DD) is a series of interactions with nature, people, culture, practices, and objects that are knocking on the doors of extinction. The project is conceived and curated by artist Nobina Gupta, currently working in the Baghelkhand and Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with Art Ichol, a visual arts centre in Maihar founded by Ambica Beri.

The DD collaborative team of 15 diverse local, national and international professionals in the past one year has developed cross-cultural and trans-disciplinary research, exchanging and co-creating within the local community. It focuses broadly on art, design, architecture, cultural practices, habitual art and craft, heritage and environment creating public awareness about challenges like sustainability and change.
