Deep Winter 2008 wrap up
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to partake in the Deep Winter Photo Challenge, for a change I worked as a rider on Brian Hockenstein’s crew. It was an amazing enduring 3 days of snapping pics trying to produce a fun and action packed slideshow. I was lucky enough to work with my dawg Johny Caulfield for 3 days and have Kevin Sanslone in for 2 along with Rube Goldberg and Andrew Burns getting in one day each. Brian produced an amazing slideshow and feel he did a great job portraying what we love to do.

John Swystun from newly created NuuLife Cinema Company tagged along with all the top 3 crews to see what it was like behind the scenes of the event, he headed up a 3 part series for push.ca. You can check out Part #1 with Hockenstein, Part #2 with Crispin Cannon and Part #3 with a mix of Jordan Manley and Hockenstein. Props to all the photographers, riders and organizers involved, I though this was one of the best events of the season and really brought our community together.
Oh ya, Jordan held his title taking home $3000 with an amazing errie slideshow that embraced the Deep Winter Theme. Crispin took home 2nd place and $2000 which told the story of a day in the life of a rider which was mixed with some sharp images and interesting angles. Brian walked away with 3rd place and $1000. His slideshow was one of the most entertaining and good times feeling shows of the night.
